Frequently Asked Questions

THE DRINK

What is pink chai?

A creamy, spiced tea latte with rose, cardamom, cinnamon, and saffron. It's known for its blush color and a flavor that lands somewhere between sweet and salty — light and indulgent at the same time.

What does it taste like?

Cardamom opens it, cinnamon warms it, and rose lingers at the end. Creamy, spiced, a little unexpected. Most people find it familiar and new at once.

Why is it pink?

The color in traditional pink chai develops during brewing and shines the moment it meets milk. No dye, no coloring — it just does that. Our version uses organic beets to achieve the same result, without the 1 hour stove time. It's the best part.

Is it sweet?

Lightly. Ours is sweetened with a small amount of cane sugar and nothing artificial. Most people add more; some don't. Start without and adjust.

Does it have caffeine?

Yes — it's naturally caffeinated from the green tea base.

Is it like matcha? Like coffee?

It's its own thing. Green tea base, spice-forward flavor, creamy finish. If you've been looking for something with more depth than matcha and less edge than coffee, this is it.

MAKING IT

How do I make it?

Add one scoop to 3–4 tbsp of hot water. Whisk or froth until smooth — that's your shot. Sweeten to taste (already lightly sweet on its own, we love 1–2 tsp honey), and stir. Then pour it over 6–8 oz of hot milk, or over a glass of ice and cold milk. About 90 seconds start to finish.

Hot or iced?

Either, whichever your mood calls for.

What milk works best?

Whole milk gives you the creamiest cup and the best color. Oat is the best non-dairy option — it froths well and doesn't compete with the spice. Almond works, though the color reads darker.

Do I need a whisk?

No. A spoon and thirty seconds of stirring will do it. A small handheld frother makes it smoother if you have one.

How many cups per pouch?

10 servings.

Can I bake with it?

Yes, and we'd love to see it. It's very good in oats, lattes over ice, and anything that likes cardamom.

INGREDIENTS & DIET

What's in it?

Green tea, spices, pomegranate extract, oats, beets, and a small amount of cane sugar. The full ingredient list and nutrition panel are on every product page.

Is it vegan / gluten-free / dairy-free?

Yes. Made with organic, gluten-free oat milk powder.

Is there anything artificial in it?

No artificial sweeteners, colors, or flavors.

Can I drink it if I'm pregnant or nursing?

It contains caffeine from green tea. We'd check with your doctor first.

KEEPING IT

How should I store it?

Sealed, somewhere cool and dry. Away from the stove and out of direct sun.

My powder clumped. Is it okay?

It's fine. Spices respond to warmth and humidity, so a pouch that's spent an afternoon in a hot mailbox may settle or firm up. Press it with the back of your scoop and it loosens right away.

How long does it last?

Check the date printed on the back of your pouch. Once opened, it's best within 30 days — reseal it fully each time.

ORDERS

When will my order arrive?

We pack within 1–2 business days and orders usually arrive 3–7 days after that. Full details on our Shipping & Returns page.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet, but we're working on it.

What if something isn't right?

Email hello@pinkdawn.co with your order number. You have 30 days, and a real person will get back to you within 1–2 business days.

How does the Ritual Membership work?

You get 10% off every pouch, delivered on the schedule you choose. Skip, pause, or cancel anytime from your account.

Can I gift it?

Yes — the Ritual Set is our recommendation for that. Pouch and glass together, ready to hand over.
